Hello All,

Currently at this time, I am not breeding or importing fish from over seas due to my hectic work and school schedule and now limited space for breeding. Sorry for the many fans that I have visiting my website. I hope that the information I have on my website will be of use for those starting to breed bettas. It is a great hobby to get into, but it can and will be a lot of work. For now, I'm hoping for the best that I may start breeding again soon, and provide beautiful fish for all. Till then, have a "betta" day =)

Welcome to Vang's Plakat Aquaria.  My interest with bettas started when I was young, probably around 7-8 years old. Got my first veil tail betta when I was around 10 or so. Ever since, I've been hooked on bettas. Since then, I've bred bettas off and on, until June of 2008, when I decided to dedicate my time to this hobby. I've been raising bettas for awhile, but still feel like a newbie. This hobby has so much knowledge, that it will take many more years to learn most of it. The part that interests me the most about this hobby is their genetics. Just seeing what comes of each spawn is interesting to me. Also the beauty of these fish amuses me, with the different coloration that we all see out there now. My goal is to breed good qaulity and show quality bettas.

I am also a part of a few organizations. I am part of the International Betta Congress, the Midwest Betta Club, and the Milwaukee Aquarium Society. I hope to be able to show my skills in the Betta world, and hope to gain new knowledge from these great organizations. Please visit their sites under my "links" page.

I created this website so I can keep updates of my spawns and my bettas, and also a place for me to sell excess bettas that I have. Some bettas that I have in my stock shop are from other quality, breeders. Most will be from my own spawns. I choose the best of the best and keep those in my show betta collection to continue on my breeding programs. The rest are good quality bettas, NOT CULLS, that are sold to help offset my costs in this wonderful hobby.
